A great loss has fell upon the world of Chasidei Breslov. Hagaon Hatzaddik, Rabbi Shimon Shapira, the son of the saintly Tzaddik Rav Shmuel Shapira, passed away today in the holy city of Jerusalem. He was 76 years old. He was a very serious servant of Hashem as was known to all Breslov Chassidim. Even though he was very weak and sick this past Elul, he still insisted on making the long journey to Rabbeinu in Uman for Rosh Hashanah. The levaya left from the main Breslov Shul in Mea Shearim.
