Learning from the events of last year when travel to Uman for Rosh Hashanah was halted early, thousands of Breslov Chassidim have already made their way to Uman to remain till after Rosh Hashanah. Due to rising Covid cases in Israel there are new worries of a possible lockdown in Tishrei and/or further travel restrictions and many are not taking any chances. The newest and most official rule as of now is the requirement for all people returning from Ukraine to quarantine for 7 days upon arrival in Israel. This is for both vaccinated and unvaccinated people.
Baruch Hashem, the Hachnosas Orchim Ohel Yechiel Michel (Rav Shloimie Feder’s) is open everyday for breakfast (free) for the tzibbur already in Uman. The hours are from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Feder’s is located next to the building of Nekuda Tova close to the sleeping tents at the bottom of the hill after the Tziyon.
In Shiner’s shul there are hundreds of people learning everyday with shiurim in Likutei Moharan and Likutei Halachos and an official kollel is opening up on Rosh Chodesh Elul.
Tickets for meals for Yom Tov at Shiner’s will start selling soon and we will post more details when available.
There are also Breslovers who are staying in the city of Breslov and are learning all day in a new Beis Medrash that is next to Rav Noson’s kever.
We should all continue to daven that everything regarding the kibbutz in Uman should be good and that everyone should be able to get there.
