Following the terrible disaster in Meron which took the lives of 45 people, The Mevaot Hermon Regional Council has issued a closure order for Rav Yonasan Ben Uziel’s Kever in Amuka from this coming Thursday till after the yortzeit on Sunday. Many of the roads leading to the kever will be closed for traffic and it will be forbidden to walk to Amuka and enter the area. According to the council – the buildings of the burial complex were built illegally and are a danger to the public. The narrow roads leading to Amuka are also a danger for large busses and heavy traffic. Camping in the forest around Amuka will also be forbidden.
