In the past few weeks, extensive renovations have begun on the Kloyz in Uman. The Kloyz has been used for the last 30 years as home to the main minyan on Rosh Hashanah for all groups of Breslover Chassidim. In the first stage of the renovation, the eastern wall was removed. This wall was made of old iron and tin which allowed the cold (or hot) weather in. It is being replaced by a more modern insulated wall. Rav Noson Tzemach, who is one of the Gabbaim of the Tzion and part of the Ichud Breslov in Uman, says that this is only the beginning of the renovation and much more will be done to the Kloyz in the future to make it better.
