Sefer Yemey Shmuel (The Days of Shmuel) is an autobiography and daily diary of Rav Shmuel Horowitz z”l. Rav Shmuel grew up in the holy city of Tzfat in the early 1900’s and came close to Breslov Chassidus when he was a teenager and his whole story is extremely fascinating. He went to Uman between World War 1 and World War 2 and spent some time in jail in Russia when he tried to return to Israel. He was good friends with Rav Yisroel Odesser and other Ziknei Breslov and there is much to learn from this sefer. He writes about his days in great detail and a lot of Breslov traditions are known from this book. Up until now, Yemey Shmuel was printed in 2 different volumes and it was missing some important details and explanations. This new edition adds in a lot of missing information and combines both volumes into one (there is also a 3rd part, printed by the Keren of Rav Yisroel Odesser, which is not included in this new edition but can be found easily and is still in print).
