Despite the ongoing wars in both Israel and Ukraine, over 40,000 people made it safely to Uman be with Rebbe Nachman of Breslov for Rosh Hashanah. An additional 10,000 people were supposed to make it but due to the severe flight cancellations out of Israel, many were forced to stay behind and some who left to late did Rosh Hashanah in airports and other cities in Europe. The large Hachnosas Orchim of Scheiner’s and Feder’s supplied food to all the guests in Uman and it was a beautiful Rosh Hashanah overall without any major mishaps.

Now after Rosh Hashanah, there are many Breslov Chassidim who have found that their return flights have been cancelled and are currently stuck in Ukraine for the time being until they can find new flights. People are traveling as far as Prague to get a flight back to Israel. All the flights going to the USA and other countries are scheduled like regular.
