Thousands of Breslov Chassidim are expected to slowly trickle into Uman in the next few weeks. Due to the uncertainty of possible travel restrictions that might be implemented in the coming weeks, many Breslov Chassidim along with their families have decided to fly when they still can. They will remain there until after Rosh Hashanah. Travelers are taking advantage of cheap straight flights to Ukraine that are now leaving from Israel and also some connecting flights through Belarus and Turkey.
The Rabbi of Uman, Rav Yaakov Jon, has called on the Tzibbur arriving to follow all the current health restrictions from the Ukrainian Health Ministry all over Ukraine and especially in Uman. There is a very serious risk of Uman Rosh Hashanah not being approved by the Ukrainian government if people do not follow the rules.
Here are a few pictures from a TLV-Kiev flight last night.
