Ukrzaliznytsia has officially reinstated rail service between Odessa and Chisinau, marking the first time the route has been operational since 2022. Public response to the reopening has been significant; within the first three hours of availability, 60% of the initial ticket inventory was sold, reflecting a high demand for cross-border connectivity.

This train takes about 18 hours to go from Chisinau to Odessa which is definitely longer than taking a private car however you can avoid long wait times at the border: when you take the train, the passport checks are done on the train. Due to recent Russian missile attacks, some of the border crossings between Moldova and Ukraine have been heavily damaged and Breslov Chassidim have reported longer than normal wait times leaving Ukraine most recently after Shabbos Chanukah.

From Odessa to Uman and back you can take a taxi or public bus.
